Who Am I – A learning experience about self-identity and cooperation

Through dialogue and exercises, students work with identíty and staging, when comparing their own daily life with the colourful artists in the exhibition. In our circus training venue, students will be challenged by our professional artist to try out different circus disciplines. The main focus of this learning experience is giving students shared experiences, where nobody feels stupid and everyone dares to challenge themselves. The experience will put a smile on their faces and make them realise new things about themselves and each other.

Working with the circus, one learns a set of values which may be applied in many other parts of daily life. This learning experience consists of a short, condensed exhibition tour, focussing on how a great artist is created and how an amazing performance is crafted. Afterwards, students will practice the different circus disciplines on their own and will be put to the challenge of performing themselves. This experience is well suited for students practicing for a presentation or an exam.

Acrobatics in School

This workshop puts the focus squarely on the physical expression of the body through acrobatics. The experience gives students a deeper insight in themselves, and will improve their agility, strength, balance, and cooperation. The learning experience can help the class become more close-knit, but it may also inspire new forms of physical movement and activity in in-class teaching or in P. E. classes, in which it may be used as part of the curriculum theme named Kropsbasis.
