Magical Summer Days

Bring the Family for a Magical Day Full of Fun, Play, and Creative Activities

Every Sunday to Thursday throughout July from 11 AM to 1 PM, children and their adults can try their hand at a wide range of circus disciplines during Circus Fun. Discover your artistic talents as you balance on a tightrope, swing on the trapeze, or juggle balls and clubs. Throughout the session, the museum’s circus instructor will be on hand to offer inspiration and guidance for both young and old.

Experience the Wonderful World of the Circus

Inside the museum, the whole family can explore colorful exhibitions featuring beautiful costumes and exciting props from legendary performers like Diana Benneweis, Paulina Schumann, and Charlie Rivel. Don’t miss the new magic exhibition, where you can, among other things, have your head magically separated from your body in the magic box. Along the way, you’ll also meet ventriloquist Peter Nørgaard and the cheeky dog Charlie, who appear on screens to share fun and educational stories about the circus.

Go on a Circus Hunt and Make Your Own Circus Hat

For the little ones who want to experience the exhibition in a different way, there’s a circus hunt with fun tasks to solve, ending with a little prize. In the museum’s Creative Workshop, children can let their imaginations run wild by creating their own circus badge or making a hat from recycled materials and old circus posters.

Cozy Up in the Courtyard

When hunger strikes, you can enjoy your packed lunch in the museum’s shady courtyard under the large linden trees. Here, you can also try walking on stilts and play a variety of outdoor games. In the museum shop, you can buy organic ice cream, snacks and drinks, fun circus souvenirs, and juggling props.

Admission tickets can be purchased at the museum or online via this link. Children under 18 enter for free when accompanied by an adult.
