Magical Summer Days

Can you lift a horse with your teeth? Do you dare to walk the line? Can you make a clown out of a toilet roll? You can find out that and much more at the Circus Museum, where throughout July we offer fun activities for the whole family.

Circus Artist for the day

From Sunday to Thursday in week 27-31, you can test your talents as a circus artist when we invite you to Circus Fun at 11-13. The possibilities are many, and you can e.g. test your balance on the line, your strength in the trapeze or your juggling skills. Our skilled circus instructor will be ready in the circus hall throughout the period with inspiration and guidance.

Learn about circus

In the exhibition, the whole family can see wonderful props and beautiful costumes from some of the greatest circus artists of all time and find out if you can really lift a horse with your teeth. Along the way, via screens, you can hear the ventriloquist Peter Nørgaard tell funny stories about the circus together with his cheeky dog Charlie.

Go on a treasure hunt and let your imagination run wild

If the kids want to explore the museum in a different way, they can take a circus hunt around the exhibition. Once they’ve solved the puzzle, they can help conjure up a prize as a reward for your efforts.

On the museum’s 2nd floor, we set up a creative workshop over the summer, where the imagination can be unleashed in the work of making circus figures, collages and hats from everything from toilet rolls and old circus posters to tulle and egg trays.

You are welcome to enjoy your packed lunch in our courtyard in the shade of the large linden trees. It is also possible to buy organic ice cream, snacks and various hot and cold drinks in the museum shop.

Admission tickets can either be purchased at the museum or online via cirkusmuseet.dk.
